Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM)
Our energy surveyors are qualified building control surveyors with many years of experience in the building control profession. This, we believe, provides us with a unique end2end opportunity not only to advise on compliance issues pertaining to the building regulations but also being able to offer experienced energy consultancy advice.
Our experienced surveyors work on a wide range of commercial buildings and provide accredited SBEM assessments and calculations for submission to the building control body to show compliance with Approved Documents L2A and L2B of the Building Regulations 2000 (As Amended).
We offer a standard service which assumes that the design is well advanced and we assess the submitted design. Or a Consultancy Service which provides you (or your design team) with design advice from inception through to completion and gives you the client (and the design team) options to enable you to make informed and commercial decisions on your project(s).
We welcome the opportunity to be engaged at the earliest possible stage in the design process and will work with all members of the design team and the client to maximise the full potential of the building envelope and services.
We are happy to attend design and project meetings and will of course work closely with all members of the design team and happy to work with all building control bodies and negotiate on behalf of the design team/client with the relevant building control body if required.
