Appointment at the beginning of the design process, and we recommend this is at the same time as the lead consultant (project manager/architect).  
Analysis, Verification and reporting on the formal design stages. (RIBA Stages C, D, E, & F)  
Attend and contribute to the consultant team meetings and design/value engineering workshops. (RIBA Stage C, D, E & F)  
Pre submission advice prior to the formal submission of a statutory Building Regulation application. Generally we find that this is done around Stage D (D+B procurement) or up to Stage F (traditional procurement) of the RIBA plan.  
Check information for compliance with the building regulations upon receipt of a formal Building Regulation application.  
Contribution to the preparation of the tender documentation. (RIBA Stages G/H)  
Monitoring brief on behalf of client (consultancy team) of construction and the preparation of and reporting of any discrepancies and snagging to the client and consultant team (RIBA Stage L)  
Attend consultant team (or construction led) site meetings (RIBA Stage L)  
Carry out statutory site inspections in accordance with the Building Act 1984  
Attend post-contract review meetings and contribute to the post-contract feedback report  
Be appointed on equal terms as those other consultants appointed to the consultant led team  
Provide Professional Indemnity Insurance cover (PII) (up to £5 million in each and every claim)  
Issuing Statutory Approvals (or decision advice notices) in accordance with the Building Act 1984  
Issuing formal completion certificates  
Seamless building regulations consultancy and statutory building control service    
Ability to provide the analysis, verification and reporting service throughout the UK and overseas  
Ability to check applications for statutory compliance and instruct the local inspecting authority to issue formal notices (through the Partner Authority Scheme (PAS) vehicle)
